LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/28/12 -- Sionix Corporation (OTCBB: SINX) today announced its entry into a lease agreement with Crown Maple Syrup, Inc., a New York based grower and refiner of maple syrup for the emergent health conscious, ecologically friendly international sweeteners market. The agreement states that Sionix is to supply Crown Maple with filtration equipment at Crown Maple's facility in Dover Plains, NY. The system was delivered to the facility on September 24, 2012, and is expected to begin operation with the commencement of sap harvesting operations in February, 2013.
Mark Hayes, Sionix Chief Science Officer, stated, "Sionix' DAF unit will remove natural but undesirable constituents from the maple sap that slows sugarhouse production. As the weather warms, the undesirable constituents in the sap increase, leading to lower quality syrup. Crown Maple expects that removing these constituents will extend the production of high quality syrup and result in higher revenues, as projected by Crown Maple. Maintenance and operational costs are expected to be lowered because of the sap filtration provided by our DAF unit."
Crown Maple Chief Executive Officer Robb Turner commented, "We decided to lease this system to effectively extend our harvest season by producing higher quality syrup over a longer period of time, to improve the quality of harvested sap by removing undesirable contaminants, to remove the bacteria and microbes resulting from warmer weather, and to increase syrup processing efficiencies. We are excited for this harvest season and the results we anticipate from the Sionix DAF."

About Sionix Technology The Sionix Mobile Water Treatment System for fluids management and water treatment addresses a broad spectrum of contaminant conditions in totality. Using a customized technology configuration, each system tailors its technology suite to address each customer's specific treatment needs. The dynamic nature of influent contamination dictates treatment parameters which may continually be in flux. The modularity of the technology suite within the Sionix MWTS allows for the ease of adaptation to these fluctuating contaminant conditions. A unique component highlighted within the Sionix systems is the Sionix patented and proprietary Dissolved Air Flotation technology, which generates micro bubbles between the size of 1 and 2 microns, compared to historical sizes of 50 microns or larger. The actions of these micro bubbles facilitate the removal of 99.95% of organic contaminants and a majority of inorganic contaminants. The evolution of this technology is exclusive to the Sionix Water Treatment Systems.
